Extraordinary Growth Phenomena in Carbon Nanoclusters
Vol 3 No 1 (1994)
Published: May 2, 1994
Abstract
We report a number of morphological features resulting from the arc-discharge growth of carbon nanoclusters of the multi-and single-walled tubular type, as recorded by high resolution transmission electron microscopy. The observations are attempted to be interpreted in terms of the existing growth models for this type of clusters. Some discrepancies may provide clues for further expansion of these models.
