Abstract
The Study of the enamel prisms and the small crystals which form them was done by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The enamel structure from three stages of lite was studied: childhood. adult- hood. and oldage. Some differences were obscrved among them: the crystalline arrangement in child enamel is highly ordered but in the oldage enamel it is not. Special interest was given to the presence of the dark line in the enamel crystals of these stages. It was observed in all the samples and concluded that it is a plane intead that a line.
