Abstract

In this work, we report an easy experimental method to produce carbon-coated grids with perforated plastic support for TEM and HREM observation of inorganic samples in Materials Science. It includes the use of glycerin, butvar, liquid glassware, and chloroform. This method presents high reproducibility and diminishes the number of parameters to control.  The obtained perforated plástic supports are strength and very stable under the electron beam radiation and of high quality.
